Born in Minnesota, Ben Utecht got his start playing football at a young age. From there, he went on to play college football for the University of Minnesota as a 4-year starter and continued on to careers with the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals as a starting tight end. With a Super Bowl win under his belt, Ben Utecht is a familiar name to football fans and most recently to the entertainment world. Ben’s debut album with Stylos Records introduced him as a passionate musician and artist. “All of these things have just fallen into place for me to walk through the doorway,” Ben says of his blossoming career in music. Full of depth and soul, his songs express true honesty and sensitivity: “A lot of my songs are written through personal experiences and to share those experiences…I always love getting real with people.” Collaborating with friends like Jeremy Camp, Sandi Patty, Nathan Nockels and Mark Harris, Ben is a fresh new wordsmith, musician and singer, from an unlikely arena. In 2009, Ben released his debut, toured the US and became a father. This year, Ben continues to share his story, words and songs and remains open to the next big step in his life…“No matter what your background… everybody has a connection to music. It just gives you, as a musician, such a unique avenue to really have an impact on people’s lives in a positive way. And I just get really excited about that.”
